Translations

(Etheridge) Go, learn what that is:-" I require mercy, and not sacrifice; " for I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners.

(Murdock) Go and learn what that is: I require compassion, and not a sacrifice! For I did not come to call the righteous, but the sinful.

(Lamsa) Go and learn what this means, I want mercy and not sacrifice; for I came not to invite righteous men, but sinners.

(KJV) But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
