Translations
(Etheridge) ALL (food) is lawful to me, but all is not expedient for me. All is lawful to me, but over me no one shall have power.
(Murdock) Every thing is in my power : but every thing is not profitable to me. Every thing is in my power; but none [of them] shall have dominion over me.
(Lamsa) All things are lawful for me, but all things are not advisable for me: indeed all things are lawful for me but I will not be brought under the power of any.
(KJV) All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
