Translations

(Etheridge) And this hath been known of all who dwell in Urishlem; and so is called that field in the language of the country Hakel-damo, the interpretation of which is, A field of blood.

(Murdock) And this was known to all that dwelt at Jerusalem; so that the field was called, in the language of the country, Aceldama, which is interpreted Field of Blood.

(Lamsa) And this very thing is known to all who dwell in Jerusalem; so that the field is called in the language of the country, Kha'kal-De'ma which is to say Ko-ri-ath'dem, the field of blood.

(KJV) And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
