Translations

(Etheridge) And when they saw him, they wondered; and his mother said to him, My son, why hast thou done with us thus? for, behold, I and thy father with great anxiety have sought thee.

(Murdock) And when they saw him they were amazed. And his mother said to him: My son, why hast thou done so to us ? For lo, I and thy father have been seeking for thee with great anxiety.

(Lamsa) And when they saw him, they were astonished; and his mother said to him, My son, why have you done so to us? behold, I and your father have been looking for you with much anxiety.

(KJV) And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
