Translations

(Etheridge) For what shall a man be profited, if the whole world he shall acquire, and his soul shall perish? or what equivalent shall a man give for his soul?

(Murdock) For what will it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and shall lose his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul ?

(Lamsa) For how will a man be benefited, if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

(KJV) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
