1John 5:16 - ܐܶܢ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܢܶܚܙܶܐ ܠܰܐܚܽܘܗ݈ܝ ܕ݁ܚܳܛܶܐ ܚܛܳܗܳܐ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܡܚܰܝܰܒ݂ ܠܡܰܘܬ݁ܳܐ ܢܶܫܰܐܠ ܘܡܶܬ݂ܝܰܗܒ݁ܺܝܢ ܠܶܗ ܚܰܝܶܐ ܠܰܐܝܠܶܝܢ ܕ݁ܠܳܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܐܰܝܟ݂ ܕ݁ܰܠܡܰܘܬ݁ܳܐ ܚܳܛܶܝܢ ܐܺܝܬ݂ ܓ݁ܶܝܪ ܚܛܳܗܳܐ ܕ݁ܡܰܘܬ݁ܳܐ ܠܳܐ ܗ݈ܘܳܐ ܥܰܠ ܗܳܢܳܐ ܐܳܡܰܪ ܐ݈ܢܳܐ ܕ݁ܢܶܒ݂ܥܶܐ ܐ݈ܢܳܫ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) if a man shall see his brother sin a sin not obnoxious to the death, he shall ask, and life be given to him, to those who sin not as unto the death. For there is the sin of death;-it is not concerning this I say that a man shall pray.

(Murdock) If any one shall see his brother sin a sin which doth not deserve death, he shall ask, and life will be given him, to them [I say] who sin not as unto death. For there is a sin of death; and I do not say of this, that a man should pray for it.

(Lamsa) If any man see his brother commit a sin which is not worthy of death, let him ask and Eternal Life. 1 John 5 life will be granted him, if he has not committed a sin worthy of death. There is a sin worthy of death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

(KJV) If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
