Acts 22:5 - ܐܰܝܟ݂ ܡܳܐ ܕ݁ܣܳܗܶܕ݂ ܥܠܰܝ ܪܰܒ݁ ܟ݁ܳܗܢܶܐ ܘܟ݂ܽܠܗܽܘܢ ܩܰܫܺܝܫܶܐ ܕ݁ܡܶܢܗܽܘܢ ܩܰܒ݁ܠܶܬ݂ ܐܶܓ݁ܪܳܬ݂ܳܐ ܕ݁ܺܐܙܰܠ ܠܘܳܬ݂ ܐܰܚܶܐ ܕ݁ܰܒ݂ܕ݂ܰܪܡܣܽܘܩ ܕ݁ܳܐܦ݂ ܠܗܳܢܽܘܢ ܕ݁ܺܐܝܬ݂ ܗ݈ܘܰܘ ܬ݁ܰܡܳܢ ܐܰܝܬ݁ܶܐ ܐܶܢܽܘܢ ܠܽܐܘܪܺܫܠܶܡ ܟ݁ܰܕ݂ ܐܰܣܺܝܪܺܝܢ ܘܰܢܩܰܒ݁ܠܽܘܢ ܡܣܳܡ ܒ݁ܪܺܫܳܐ ܀

Translations

(Etheridge) as the chief of the priests can testify of me, and all the elders, that from them I received letters to go to the brethren who were in Darmsuk, that also them who were there I should bring to Urishlem bound, that they might be fined.

(Murdock) As the high priest is my witness, and likewise all the Elders ; from whom I received letters, that I might go to the brethren in Damascus, and bring those who were there prisoners to Jerusalem, to receive capital punishment.

(Lamsa) The high priest and all the elders can so testify about me, for it was from them that I received letters to go to the brethren at Damascus, to bring those who were there bound to Jerusalem to be punished.

(KJV) As also the high priest doth bear me witness, and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished.
