Translations

(Etheridge) But he, when he heard these words, was grieved; for he was very rich.

(Murdock) And he, when he heard these [words], was dejected; for he was very rich.

(Lamsa) But when he heard these things, he felt sad, because he was very rich.

(KJV) And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
