Translations

(Etheridge) And the Pharishee drew nigh, tempting him, and demanding whether it were lawful for a man to dismiss his wife.

(Murdock) And the Pharisees came to him, and, tempting him, inquired if it were lawful for a man to divorce his wife.

(Lamsa) And the Pharisees came up to him, tempting him and asking, Is it lawful for a man to desert his wife?

(KJV) And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.
