Translations

(Etheridge) but when the sun arose, it became hot; and inasmuch as it had no root, it dried up.

(Murdock) But when the sun was up, it wilted; and because it had no root, it dried up.

(Lamsa) But when the sun shone, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it dried up.

(KJV) But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
