Translations

(Etheridge) And the king sickened, yet, on account of the oath and the guests, he commanded that it should be given to her.

(Murdock) And it troubled the king: nevertheless, on account of the oath, and the guests, he commanded that it should be given her.

(Lamsa) And the king was very sorry; but because of the oaths and the guests, he commanded that it be given to her.

(KJV) And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
