Translations

(Etheridge) And he directed that the multitudes should recline upon the ground.

(Murdock) And he commanded the multitudes to recline on the ground.

(Lamsa) So he ordered the people to sit on the ground.

(KJV) And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
