Translations

(Etheridge) And they placed over his head the occasion of his death, in the writing, This (is) Jeshu, the King of the Jihudoyee.

(Murdock) And they placed over his head the cause of his death, in the writing: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

(Lamsa) And they placed above his head in writing the reason for his death: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

(KJV) And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
